Land Transactions

Overview

Silver Triangle
In 1999 Moore sold a three acre site in Silver Spring, Maryland to Discovery Communications for the media company’s international headquarters. The 650,000 square foot building opened in 2003.

The land assemblage had involved eight properties, twenty-five land owners, and the abandonment of two roads. It is located in the very center of the Central Business District.

Silver Spring Town Center
Moore’s assembly of an additional six acres in Silver Spring’s CBD was sold for the development of Silver Spring’s Town Center retail project.

Silver Spring
Moore’s development of Station Square, its land assemblages, sale to Discovery Communications, and community activities directly precipitated the revitalization of Silver Spring’s CBD.

All of these activities were mutually value-enhancing.
